Eagle Island Float Tube Day Trip

Let’s dust off those float tubes and get them ready for the upcoming season!  This is also a great opportunity for new float tubers to get out on the water for the first time and learn from our more experienced members.

We’ll meet at Eagle Island State Park; time TBD.  Save the date!

What you’ll need to bring:

• Float tube (Don’t have one?  Let us know!  Many members have extra tubes and fins they’d be willing to let you borrow.)
• Fins
• Waders (since it’s likely still going to be a little chilly, wet tubing isn’t advised)
• Footwear appropriate for your fins
• Whistle (as per ID law)
• PFD (also per ID law)
• Sunscreen
• Your fishing gear (rod, flies, net, etc)
• Fishing license

If you don’t want to float tube, there are lots of areas to fish from the shore.

Eagle Island is a fun, diverse fishery.  Lots of bluegill (that seem to eat anything!), largemouth bass, smallies, trout, and carp.  There are some HUGE bass and carp in this pond!
